World War 2 Fire Equipment

On these pages we will try and list the pictures and information about the different Equipment in the U.S. Army Inventory during World War 2.

Two different Army units provided Fire Protection during the War. The Engineer Fire-Fighting Platoons which handled ground installations and areas and the Engineer AviationFire-Fighting Platoons which handled Fire Protection and Crash Rescue at Air Bases

Please click on the buttons at left to view pictures and histories of the different classes of equipment.

There is so much variation in the equipment used. This would vary from the time in the war that the equipment was produced to the many different chassis, pump, and fire body manufacturers building each apparatus.

If you find any discrepancies please notify us. Input is always appreciated
