Class 1000 Trailer

This trailer was used to provide Structural Fire-fighting support at factories, seaports, an cantonment areas. Also used as a auxiliary pumping unit and assigned to many overseas Engineering Units.

The 1000 was 75% (3) of an AEFFP's initial attack ability rather than an auxiliary unit. It carried no water, mounted a 500 GPM Hale pump and was towed by a Weapons Carrier and later in the war by Dodge 1-1/2 ton 6x6 Personnel Carrier. It was also 25% (1) of an AEAFFP's initial attack ability.

It consisted of a 500 gpm pump driven by a Dodge T-118 6 cylinder motor mounted in a Ben Hur style trailer.
